Sunday 30th June
Mt Colah Public School Hall
Access via Telopea St or Pierre Cl, Mount Colah NSW 2079
8 Schools | 22 Bands | All Band Students
This year, Band-O-Mania will take a new format. All band students from across our 8 schools will attend a specific session on the day for their band level. This will provide an opportunity for them to play music appropriate for their level and learn to rehearse and perform in a large group with students from other schools of the same experience level.
10:00am to 12:00pm – All Training Band Students
12:30pm to 2:30pm – All Concert Band Students
3:00pm to 5:00pm – All Performance Band Students
Each session will be conducted by Matt (in the Hat) Dalziel and includes a combined rehearsal for all students (with a short break in the middle). Then a short concert for parents at the end of each session.
Please aim to arrive 10mins before your allocated group time to assemble and set up. Parents should arrive 15mins prior to the scheduled end time for a short concert at the conclusion of each group. Once the concert has concluded, please assist us by promptly departing the school grounds to allow space for the next group arriving.
What to bring:
- Musical Instrument (Drums, Percussion, Keyboards and Amps are provided. Drummers just bring sticks)
- Music (Band Folder/Sound Innovations Book)
- Music Stand (if you have one – we will have some school music stands available)

Notice of Photography
We will be taking some photographs at the event for the purpose of adding to our website, sharing an update of the event in our next newsletter, and potentially for future marketing purposes. As children will be in casual clothes, there will no reference to their specific school, or any identifiable information.
Images taken may be from a distance/ behind the band, in which children will not be able to be individually identified; or may be taken closer / in smaller groups where individual children’s faces can be recognised.
If your child is attending this event and you do not consent for your child to be included in these photographs, please inform us in writing to office@keymusicaustralia.com.au by no later than 3pm Friday 28th June 2024 so that we can ensure that their image is not included.
You do not need to contact us to confirm that you do give consent to photography.

Parents are to drop their child off 10mins prior to their allocated start time and return for the end of workshop concert 15mins before the end of each session.
Please ensure that you collect your children promptly and depart the school grounds to make space for the next group of students arriving.
Siblings in other Bands cannot stay on the school grounds outside of their allocated workshop time. There will not be any additional supervision outside of the school hall.
Students will be playing a selection of music including current Band pieces and some new items.

There is no onsite parking available at the school. Parking is available in the surrounding streets. Please be considerate of the local residents. Parking rangers may attend the event to ensure cars are parked correctly.
There are 2 pedestrian entrances to the school (via either Pierre Close or Telopea Street), and the School Hall is located in the centre of the school grounds:
