How can I find out how my child is progressing in their music lesson?

If you would like a progress update from your tutor, please contact our office by email office@keymusicaustralia.com.au

Instrument Questions

What do I do if my child’s instrument is damaged / not working?
– Speak to your child’s tutor or conductor at their next lesson or band rehearsal and they may be able to assist. You can also speak to the Key Music Australia Office. Any instrument hired through the Band Committee must be repaired through them.

We have decided to purchase our own instrument, what do we need to do?
– The School’s Band Committee manage all hire instruments. You will need to contact them to advise that you will be ending the hire agreement and they will confirm the next steps. Key Music Australia is not involved in hiring any instruments. We would also recommend that you read our advice about what to look for when purchasing an instrument.

What should we do if my child would like to change instruments?
– This will depend greatly on the type of change and time of the year. Late changes are not always possible as instruments and lessons may not be available. Generally, private lessons will be required to assist the child to catch up to their peers, and progress in bands can be affected. Please reach out to our office to discuss this in more detail.
